Bring the kids to us or go to them? Both! Many children’s and youth ministries happen on the beautiful campus of Tulare Community Church. Reaching Higher, however, is one in which caring adults and students go to the kids in the community. There are currently 4 sites in Tulare where RH meets once a week. Check out RH’s vision and goals. Join us at one or more of the sites to observe and see if you would like to volunteer with us. We believe you’ll catch God’s love for these children and want to join us.

Vision: Tulare Community Church (TCC) will courageously and unselfishly empower students and their families to reach higher with mind, body, and spirit by developing mentoring, tutoring, and helping relationships.

Goals of Reaching Higher:

• Each student in our care will pass the California HS Exit Exam and graduate.
• Over 50% of students in our care will go on to college or a formal trade school.
• Each student in our care will know basic Bible knowledge and the good news of Jesus.
• Each student (family) in our care will be helped in any way possible that seems genuinely appropriate for the long term health of that student (family).
• Each student in our care will receive healthy food to eat during our time together.

For TCC
• To ignite and unite TCC’s passion and call to reach outside its walls to Tulare’s greater community.
• To disciple TCC’s students in compassion and servanthood.
• To create a “vehicle” to ignite and unite others in the community with a similar vision.
