Values are the nonnegotiable foundation upon which unity in ministry is built and define who we are and who we hope to become. They are the basis for consistent decision making and evaluation.
The Bible as God’s Inspired Word
• Bold uncompromising communication of the message of God’s Word is the catalyst for change
• The Bible’s message is unchanging, but will be communicated in a way that makes sense for today’s world
Reaching people far from God / Need-Oriented Evangelism
• All people matter to God, therefore, all people matter to us
• Every believer is responsible to build relationships with people far from God, share a verbal witness and invite them to worship Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 5:16-21
Acceptance / Loving Relationships
• All people will be accepted regardless of ancestry, social status, or personal situation.
• Every effort will be made to create a welcoming environment and a safe place for people to find God. John 15:12; Eph. 4:16
Authentic and Inspiring Worship
• Worship that is from the heart, in the spirit of truth, can be life-changing and a powerful witness to others. Heb. 10:25, Acts 4:31
Loving relationships within Small groups
• Small groups are the best place for people to feel part of the Body of Christ. Acts 2:46-47; Titus 1:5
• We value growing smaller as the church grows larger by reproducing small groups and new congregations.
A continuous process of growth / Passionate Spirituality
• Full devotion to Jesus Christ is normal and includes a lifelong process of spiritual growth. Matt. 22:37,38; I Thes.5:16-19
Empowering Leaders
• We passionately believe in training leaders who will multiply, disciple, and carry out the ministry for Gods Kingdom.
A Servant attitude / Gift Oriented Ministry
• People will find joy and fulfillment as they discover their spiritual gifts and abilities and use them in service of God and others. Eph.4:11-13, 1 Pet. 4
Functional structures that honors God & inspires people
• We value flexible and functional structures that support the life and work of this Spirit-Led community called the church. Mark 2:22; Acts 1:8
Prayer
• Through prayer and a sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit we seek to be a part of what God is doing in our world. 2 Tim.2:2; Matt. 13:23
