Meet Pastor Joe and Rosie Velasquez

Pastor Joe reports that new families are coming to visit and keep returning for worship services. This is all because people are getting the word out about what Jesus is doing in our midst. Needs are being met: spiritual, physical, financial and emotional. People in the congregation are reading their bibles, and come to him after the service to quote scriptures. It brings so much joy as he sees the excitement on their faces, like little children that have just discovered something wonderful.
Our Flea Market Outreach Ministry is going very well; people are coming to Christ and testimonies of healings are reported. Praise the Lord!
We thank the people of TCC for giving us this ministry opportunity. God Bless You!
Please come and visit us!

The Journey – Fresno Hmong Church plant
Through an intimate relationship with God by the study of His Words, we can learn to understand our Father and understand His love and His plans that he has for us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
We meet weekly together to worship and learn about Jesus on how we can develop our relationship with Him, through the study of the scriptures. We are open to anything you may have questions about. For we believe that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
(2 Timothy 3:16)
We meet every Friday, see Calendar for locations. For current events check out our Calendar. Everyone is invited to come and join us through this awesome journey together! Come check us under Contact Us.
New Hope Community Church of Shafter

New Hope Community Church of Shafter
Pastor David Moorhead
New Hope Community Church of Shafter celebrated one year of public worship at the end of this past September. The congregation grew to around 65 people during its first year and continues to grow as they seek to reach out into the community. On October 31 they participated in the Shafter Fall Harvest Festival. They had a booth with games and a bounce house and they handed out over 400 invitations to worship. New Hope is a bilingual ministry. They have a translator who does simultaneous translation and all parts of the Sunday service are bilingual and are projected in English and Spanish; scripture readings, music, prayers, and the sermon. At present the congregation is about half Latino and half Anglo. It is New Hope’s dream to have a church that reflects the make up of Shafter which is about 75% Hispanic. They currently meet in the Shafter Youth Center but they have a building of their own which they are working to remodel for worship and ministry use. Please pray that New Hope will continue to grow as they build relationships with community people. And pray also that the Lord will provide the financial support they need to be able to finish work on their building.
Our worship begins at 9:30 on Sundays. The address for our Sunday service is:

Church on the Ridge
Church on the Ridge was planted in a community where there has never been a church!
Pastors Roy Pope and Roger Peterson of the Church Plant Team began encouraging Allyn Bell and his family in 2007 in the gathering of a group for public Christian worship. They have since grown to touch the lives of many people living on the mountain through service and in relationship building.
Church on the Ridge began public Sunday services on Christmas of 2008. Our meeting place is in the Pine Ridge School auditorium each Sunday morning at 10:30. We are located at the top of the “4-lane” on state highway 168, just 50 miles east of Clovis, CA.
Our new website is under construction at: www.thechurchontheridge.com
Church on the Ridge offers an opportunity for both men and women to grow in their faith during the month by participating in two Bible study and fellowship groups. This week we are hosting a family pizza & planning evening on Friday Nov 13th at Pine Ridge School. This is our first monthly family dinner pizza potluck event dedicated to planning for our future and preparing for special ministry during the upcoming holiday season. We are very blessed to be part of the church planting efforts of Tulare Community Church.
Sequoia Community Church
We are a church in the southeastern part of Fresno, CA also know as Sunnyside. This a rapidly growing area designated for growth by the city of Fresno over the next 25 years. At Sequoia, we are called to do three things as a church. First, we help people to embrace Jesus. Second, we encourage them to follow Him as disciples or true followers. Third, we empower them to help start new churches everywhere. Sequoia is a place where people can get real in every aspect of their lives so that they experience real worship, real relationships, real maturity, real service to others, and real witness to Christ. Our church is led by Pastor Nicholas Pope who, along with his wife Katie, moved to Fresno from Massachusetts in 2008 in order to plant Sequoia. Both Nic and Katie sensed a clear call to southeast Fresno. They have two siamese cats and a little baby girl on the way. They both are diehard Boston Red Sox and New England Patriot fans.
Sequoia was launched on February 8, 2009 and meets weekly at the:
Sunnyside Health and Tennis Club
5707 E. Birch Ave., Fresno
Sunday Worship Services are 10:00am
