Praise + Worship...

Vision Statement
To use the Arts to facilitate worship, which allows people to experience the transforming power of God’s presence.

Praise Teams
TCC Praise Teams are comprised of sopranos, altos, and tenors, high school age and up. Each team is scheduled to lead worship approximately once a month with rehearsals taking place on a midweek evening and before services on Sunday mornings. Those who are interested in being a part of a praise team should contact Kevin Hofer at: Kevin@tularecommunitychurch.com or by calling 559-686-8576, ext. 30 .

Praise Band
TCC Praise Bands join with our Praise Teams in leading the congregation in worship. Members serve on a rotating basis with other musicians. Rehearsals take place on a midweek evening and on Sunday mornings before service. Our praise bands incorporate drummers, percussionists, keyboard players of all kinds, (pianists, organists, synthesizer players) bass and guitar, as well as a variety of other instruments, such as trumpet, harmonica, flute, etc. Those who are interested in being a part of the praise band should contact Kevin Hofer: Kevin@tularecommunitychurch.com or by calling 559-686-8576, ext. 30 .

TCC Praise Choir
This exciting group of singers leads worship once a month and is also involved in seasonal presentations. The TCC Praise Choir is open to all singers, high school age and up. No auditions are required. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 6:30. Childcare is provided.

Special Music
Special Music is used regularly in our services. Often, members of our praise teams are asked to provide special music that supports the overall theme of the morning services. Occasionally, special music is also provided by other soloists and ensembles from within our congregation. Our service planning team is always open to suggestions for music or talent that would help support the focus of our services.

Children’s Choir
From time to time, our children’s choir provides special music for our services. Rehearsals and involvement in our services is announced as needed.

Drama
Drama is used periodically in our services to support the theme of our worship services. People with drama experience or those interested in using their acting gifts should contact Kevin Hofer at 559-686-8576, ext 30.

Technical Support Teams
Our technical support teams are crucial to the success and flow of our worship services. Members of these teams serve on a rotating basis, and provide audio and visual support for our services. If you have experience in audio engineering or in the visual arts as they relate to computers, and would like to serve on one of these teams, please contact Shane Miller at 559-686-8576, ext. 21.

SWAT Team
The SWAT Team (Spiritual Worship Arts Team) is responsible for maintaining the health and vitality of our worship services. This group, comprised of our worship/arts director, two elders, and other members of our congregation who are passionate about worship, meet monthly to discuss issues that deal with the worship life of our church. The SWAT Team occasionally makes motions to our consistory (TCC’s governing body) that pertain to the worship life of our church. This could include service times, worship staffing issues, purchase of needed equipment, etc.

Service Planning Team
Our service planning team meets on a weekly basis, and is responsible for:
• Scheduling singers and band members to lead worship
• Regularly incorporating a variety of creative elements into our services that support the theme of the morning. These could include such things as videos, dramas, special music, live interviews, or dance.
• Making each service flow seamlessly (This is done in cooperation with our pastoral staff)

The service planning team is always open to suggestions that could make our services more meaningful. Since services are often planned 6 weeks in advance, requests for certain songs for baptisms and other special occasions should be made accordingly. Even though the team will do their best to accommodate these requests, the person making the request should be aware that their request may or may not be able to be realized on a particular Sunday.

Worship/Arts Sunday School Class
Each Sunday, the members of our worship department meet to discuss issues that relate to the ARTS and our faith. This is often done through a book study. The class is led by our worship/arts director as well as other members of our team who are gifted in facilitating discussions. The class meets Sunday mornings from 9:30- 10:15 a.m. (Between worship services)
