New Hope Community Church (Shafter) Update
April 27, 2010
There’s a lot of excitement around New Hope these days as we look forward to the work beginning on our new building! Our project manager, Gregory Moats, arrived from Washington on April 12 and he has been busy working on bids from contractors. Our Leadership Team is also hard at work with our Task Force trying to ensure that everything is in place when it’s time to actually begin construction. There’s so much to do and we are all anxious to get started.
It won’t be long before school gets out and we will be in the full swing of summer activities. We have a couple of outreach opportunities coming up here in Shafter. May 1 is the big Cinco de Mayo celebration in the park. There is a parade and then a full afternoon of food and fun celebrating our Mexican heritage. We will have a presence in the park all day, meeting people and sharing with them. Then in August is the second annual Shafter Street Faire. We intend to set up a booth and let people know what God is doing through New Hope!

We are interested in visiting the Church in Shafter this Sunday but are unable to find any info on the services or even a phone number. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tom
