Church on the Ridge update…
*News from Church on the Ridge 4/26/10
Easter celebration saw 12 new faces come join us, most of whom were previously unknown to us!
Look for our new sign on Hwy 168 at the bottom of the 4-lanes. A dear lady with a ranch in the area and who attends the Episcopal cathedral in Fresno still wishes to support our church outreach, and is allowing us to place a large banner type sign for all to see as they head up the mountain! And what’s more, a young family man who came to our Easter service and is a builder of log homes and furniture is making the wagon wheel supports for our new sign!
We are hosting a Ladies’ retreat at Cheryle’s Meadow Lakes retreat cabin for our ladies and the women of the area on Saturday, June 12th , 10:00-2:00 pm. The title: God’s blessing in your stressing. Our men are catering the luncheon!
My third week as co-instructor of brass music at Pine Ridge School begins today! Pray this will prove to be a successful doorway into the community for our connecting with local families.
Our local pastor’s group will meet in June at the school, hosted by us for that month also. This has been a blessed doorway of prayer participation and acceptance into the greater community for us, as well!
Pray my discussions with the leadership of Clovis Christian Church will continue to be blessed – as we are considering avenues for musical collaboration up here at our services as well as visiting worker families on retreats!
